Mary Shelley: Monster Hunter reimagines the creation of Frankenstein by revealing that Mary Shelley didn’t just write the iconic horror story—she experienced it. Set in 1816, the story follows Mary, her fiancé Percy, her sisters, and Lord Byron as they visit the eerie Frankenstein Estate. The strange and terrifying events that unfold lead Mary to a shocking discovery about their mysterious host, which will change her life forever. Children and young people in social care, and those who have left, are often subject to stigmatisation and discrimination. Being stigmatised and discriminated against can impact negatively on mental health and wellbeing not only during the care experience but often for many years after too. The project aims to contribute towards changing community attitudes towards care experienced people as a group.
