The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey (2022) is an American family drama based on the eponymous novel by Walter Mosely.

Samuel L. Jackson stars as Ptolemy Grey, a 91-year-old man who has dementia and is living in crowded, unclean conditions.

Dominque Fishback stars as Robyn, a 17-year-old orphan who moves in with Ptolemy Grey. She needs somewhere to stay, and she helps out the elderly man by clearing and cleaning up his apartment.

During their time together, Grey becomes involved in experimental treatment for dementia. He is able to remember the past and investigates his great-nephew’s movie.
