Triptych (2023) is a Spanish series (Netflix).


Starring Maite Perroni, a forensics expert discovers the body she is examining looks exactly like her. She later finds there is a 3rd woman who resembles her. All were adopted as babies.


The story was apparently "inspired by actual events", likely the story of 3 identical triplets who were the subject of an experiment by American psychiatrists in the 1960s.

This experiment was first told by Lawrence Wright in 1995 for the New Yorker and in 2018 was the subject of a documentary, Three Identical Strangers.
