Upper Middle Bogan

The Australian comedy series, Upper Middle Bogan, uses an adoptee character to explore class relations in Australia.
Bess Denya, a medical doctor. was adopted by an upper-middle class woman who couldn't have children. She doesn't find that out until her adoptive mother is admitted to hospital and has blood tests.
Bess then seeks out her biological family and is shocked to find out the Wheelers are into drag racing. The series ran for 3 series from 2013 until 2016. Upper Middle Bogan began streaming ias Bess of Both Worlds in the United States from 2015 on Hulu.

Children and young people in social care, and those who have left, are often subject to stigmatisation and discrimination. Being stigmatised and discriminated against can impact negatively on mental health and wellbeing not only during the care experience but often for many years after too. The project aims to contribute towards changing community attitudes towards care experienced people as a group.
