The series follows three women from three decades - 1963, 1984, 2019 - who are connected by having lived in the same house in Pasadena. In the 2019 story, Taylor Harding is in an open marriage with partner, Eli Cohen. The 2 enter into a relationship with Jade Tabatchnick, who says she has been in and out of the foster care system. Jade is drawn as a stereotypical care experienced character, a 'troubled' young woman with a murderous rage.
